Lithium-sulfur batteries are the most promising choice for future energy storage systems, while there are still many challenges before the practical applications. The conference will bring together the world's leading academics, scientists and engineers to discuss the priority areas of lithium sulfur battery chemistry research. The general topics include sulfur cathode, lithium metal anode, non-aqueous/solid-state electrolyte, modelling, mechanisms, safety & management, and other metal-sulfide systems.

The conference is organized by Dresden University of Technology (Germany), Imperial College London (UK), Tsinghua University (China), Argonne National Laboratory (USA), Fraunhofer Institute for Material and Beam Technology IWS Dresden (Germany), Beijing University of Technology (China), Institute of Metals CAS (China), Oxis Energy (UK), Beijing Institute of Technology (China), and supported by Beijing Natural Science Foundation Foreign Cooperation and Exchange Fund. It will take place from 12th to 15th August 2019 at the Beijing International Convention Center in Beijing, China.
